I have been bothered to post about the unique man all these while. After reading Dale Carnegie's book and others.
I think I had a picture of what those guru are trying to say and funny enough i implied it in all my activities and it worked just fine for me
On a normal case being unique is being outstanding and being outstanding means your different from the pack. You lead your own pride (quoting myself).
Dale pointed out important keypoint that can keep you outstanding.
I wish to talk much on what he said but summary would do more good. And I that case I list those points below

Now here am going to explain Dale. I might not had listed them accordingly but it doesn't matter what part of the beef you eat first.
ADMITTING YOUR FAULT
Yes. It's difficult for most men to admit their fault, like seriously it's like pushing them off their throne. I was in this category till I read Dale's books. Dale said you cannot win an argument and it's true. And on same stand you have to admit your fault. I could remember arguing what the silicon in imported materials wear used for. And the other person said it's a for preventing something from affect the material. I wouldn't mention what I said sorry. Cos I sounded real stupid and to the bullshit i craved had to it. And behold we started Internet research and we discovered silicon brings about the dryness preventing humidity. Now when it came up. I couldn't let go of my throne. But then I remembered Dale and tried being a little practical and I was happy with the end result, I didn't only learn, I also made my college know i could yield into truth.
Dale was like, "what happens if you actually win the argument" you are happy but the other person's spirit is broken" like seriously you just killed his ego. That was why I was protecting my pride. Unique men got to understand that it takes nothing from you to admit your fault. Yes it's a sacrifice of your throne but not for long. Soon you would be sitting on a higher one called respect.

SEEING THINGS FROM OTHER PEOPLE'S POINT OF VIEW
This one is hard but if you can imply it you would get special attention alot.

Customer: that's too much, the other shop sell lesser @ 14k.
Seller : 14k? Did I steal it? Please leave my shop and get it there if you like. It's too early for that nonsense.
Customer : (gets furious) you are cheat. I won't patronize you again..

Like seriously, did you notice any difference?
The seller at set 2. Saw the customers point. He understood that the customer didn't know the difference in standards and at the end he made cool business and also earned a good reputation.
Of course, you like stuffs, but sometimes let it be others first. That's how the unique mind works this is very important for families. Especially married men. So you don't get real bossy with your family.
Sometimes the kids got something to say listen to them.
A man once told me why he ask his children questions before dealing with them on wrongdoings.
He said he saw his child unfolding the roll of tissue paper and was angry cos the kid did litter everywhere with it. When it actually got tossed in the air by wind. In fear of getting beating from daddy he went and hid himself. So daddy came in all rage and was like where is he. He came out and before daddy could pounce on him, he had a second thought. And asked him why he did it. And the little mind said. It's kind of stressful having people cut it when ever they want to use it, so he actually did cut it all down to make it easier. But never new the wind will toss it off before he gets done and the furious father smiled and said brilliant boy. That was wise off you. Just pick the debris up and put the in the trash can.
