Following Alex Iwobi's wonderful performances for Arsenal, a well recorgnized English journalist Sami Mokbel that writes for Dailymail's online version says England will regret losing the Him to Nigeria.
Nigeria in the past, have lost players with dual nationality to England at senior level. The current being Dele Alli and Ross Barkley of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton respectively.
However Alex Iwobi who was voted Man of the Match in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Chelsea. The third he has won since breaking into the first time dared to be different. Iwobi played for England at youth level before switching to play for Nigeria at senior level.
A move that Mokbel believes England will regret in the future judging by his recent performances for Arsenal.“England will regret letting Alex Iwobi through their fingers. The Arsenal player is a star in the making but turned down England to play for Nigeria.“The best compliment Arsene Wenger could pay him on Saturday was the fact he played him in such a stellar fixture. And he took to it like a duck to water. Iwobi’s destined for the top.” Mokbel wrote in his review of Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Chelsea.
