Boko Haram militants gave more than 21 Chibok schoolgirls to authorities Thursday after a progression of transactions, Nigeria's legislature said, in the primary mass arrival of any of the more than 200 girls and ladies captured from their school two years back.
The 21 were liberated before day break in the northeastern Nigerian town of Banki, close to the outskirt with Cameroon, a source near the arrangements said on state of namelessness.
They are said to have been among the 276 girls and ladies, ages 16 to 18, that Boko Haram militants grouped from bed amidst the night at an all inclusive school in Chibok in April 2014 - an abducting that impelled worldwide shock.
